Anti-drug propaganda asserts that anyone using illegal drugs is an idiot doomed to horrible repercussions. It further asserts that anyone supporting decriminalization is a radical nut job that wants heroin and cocaine sold to children at the candy aisle at 7-11. This is horribly wrong.
The Drug User Hall of Fame will show that responsible drug users, like responsible drinkers, are no less accomplished than their abstinent counterparts. It will also show that extraordinarily intelligent people support decriminalization. They are not limited to drug users, in fact, many of the most outspoken have never tried illicit drugs. It is their abstinence that allows them to openly advocate without fear of possible criminal repercussions down the road.
